Can dogs have honeydew?

Yes – honeydew is a safe treat for most dogs when served in small, seedless pieces.

Why it is or is not safe

Melon flesh is mostly water and is not considered toxic. The main issues are too much sugar (can cause diarrhea) and choking if pieces are too big.

How to serve

Remove rind and seeds. Serve chilled or room temp, cut into small cubes. Start with a couple bites and stop if stools get loose.
