Can dogs have passion fruit?

Sometimes – passion fruit pulp is generally not toxic, but the rind and seeds can cause digestive upset.

Why it is or is not safe

The pulp itself is not considered toxic. However, the thick rind is difficult to digest and seeds may irritate the stomach if consumed in larger amounts.

How to serve

If offered, give only a small amount of pulp. Do not allow your dog to chew on the rind.

Symptoms to watch for

Vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort.
